Thats right finally after a big wait we have released two new beers. First up is out take on the Belgian Wit beer style, its a wheat beer brewed with corriander and orange peel late in the boi

Then we brewed what seems to be the flavour of the month between brewers the big and might Black IPA. We use dehusked malt to provide the black colour then throw in a truck load of Nelson Sauvigan hops last into the boil. At 7% Alc and 70 IBU’s its a beer for the biggest of hopheads.

We think they are both delicious and hope you do to! Both beers can be found at selected stockist’s on our stockist page.

Been a long while between updates but i guess that means we are busy brewing you good beer!

Well we have infact brewed our second ever beer for release. Its a belgian Wit Beer. Inspired by the likes of Hoegaarden this is our take on a classic beer.

We also took that Wit beer and racked it onto some Raspberry’s for the Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular for the Local Taphouse in both St Kilda (Vic) and Darlinghurst (Nsw) and it seems to have been recived well by all.

Currently we are only kegging the Wit Beer so look out for it at your local on tap and if your local does not have it tell them to give us a call!

“Take yourself there”!

Kooinda Pale Ale was voted # 5 beer out of 100 beers in the Local Taphouse’s Hottest 100 beers of 2010. We were pretty stoked with the results.

As commented by brewsnews.com.au

This year’s Hottest 100 confirms – if any conformation was needed – that hops are the driving force in craft beer. Eight of the top ten beers are hop driven ales, predominantly pale and India pale ales. It also confirms Little Creatures Pale Ale’s position as one of the most highly regarded and influential beers in Australia.

Despite the importance of hops, it is interesting to note that the top 10 is largely devoid of ‘hop monsters’. Depending on how the definitions are drawn (and this is wildly subjective), around fifty per cent of the featured beers fall into the loose category of ‘sessional’ beers as opposed to bigger and one-off brews.

Heres the top 5 results :

1 McLaren Vale Ale

2 Little Creatures Pale Ale

3 Stone & Wood Draught/Pacific Ale

4 Feral Hop Hog

5 Kooinda Pale Ale

For a full list of all 100 beers head to the Crafty Pint :
