FROM HOMEBREWING TO HEIDELBERG
Kooinda began as the first residentially licensed brewery in Australia. Our award winning first release - the American Pale Ale - was brewed on a humble 400L handmade brewery. Those early batches made use of the family in-ground swimming pool to cool the beer as it transferred to the fermenter.
As interest and reputation grew so did the demand for our beers and in late 2010 we made the move to our current home at 28 Culverlands St. Since then there have been a few more awards, a few more epic brewing days, a few expansions and a fair few more drinking sessions.
We're proud of what we have. Our mainstays offer something for everyone, from our Golden Ale (a mash up of lager, meets ale, meets hop) as an introductory beer, to our Black IPA for the biggest of hop heads.
Our beers can now be found at our Taproom, in many pubs, bars, restaurants and bottle shops Australia wide. If it's not at your local, let us know.
